FIRSTLY sorry for going AWOL the past few weeks. I came down with glandular fever which has taken a lot out of me, but I felt like a new blog post was long overdue.
Today I will be reviewing the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion – a daily moisturiser with a gradual self tanner.
This lotion comes in two shades – Light to Medium Skin and Medium to Dark Skin – and I have to say I am absolutely in love with this product. I’ve been using it for the past few months and have been very impressed with the results. Here’s more about what I thought about it.
Great gradual tanner
Very important as this is very much the point of the product! Providing you exfoliate well, this product gives a fantastic, even tan that builds gradually to give you a nice natural sun-kissed look – a great alternative to fake tanning!
Lovely moisturiser with silky consistency
Another important factor. This lotion leaves my skin feeling so soft for the entire day after applying following my morning shower. Its silky consistency makes it really easy to apply as well.
Good for sensitive skin
I have quite sensitive skin and after coming out in a rash when using Garnier’s Summer Body Moisturising Lotion I was a bit apprehensive to try another gradual tanner, but Dove have lived up to their reputation and I have had no problems with my skin reacting this product (though if you have highly sensitive skin do remember to consult your doctor or dermatologist first just to be on the safe side!).
Overall: 5/5 – can’t fault it!
