It’s that time of the week again: review time!
Today I will be reviewing Rimmel London’s Apocalips Lip Lacquer!
This is something that’s been kicking around the bottom of my makeup bag for a few months now. I originally bought it because when it was first released everybody was RAVING about it, but I’ve only recently started using it properly. Here’s what I thought of it.
Intense, Rich Colour
When you apply this product, the colour transferred is just as bold as if you were to use a lipstick, coupled with the glossy, satin-like shine of a lip gloss. I really liked this about this product, it delivers what it promises in this respect and is certainly something to try for nights out or if you want to go for a very bold look.
Great Choice of Shades
This lip gloss comes in 13 shades, giving you great variety and diversity. I originally tried this product in Nova which wasn’t a particularly great colour on me day-to-day, but found I really liked the more nude colours for more everyday looks(Luna, Nude Eclipse, Shooting Star) and Out of the World for a more dressed up look.
So providing you stay away from the coffee cups for a while after applying this lip gloss, you will find that the colour stays with you pretty much all day. It certainly doesn’t keep the same finish as it has when you first apply it, but for me personally that is a good thing.
Not keen on the applicatior
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I didn’t really get on with the applicator with this product. Alternatively I use a lip brush which I find works well for me and gives me more control in terms of building up the look I want to go for.
Anyone else get that? Just me? I don’t know. It wasn’t awful, but didn’t have the nice, pleasant smell of the Kate Moss Lipsticks or the No. 7 Lip Glosses (side note: those are my two most used lip products.)
Repurchase: Maybe, but probably would pick other Rimmel lip products over this one.

Thanks for reading guys, have a great rest of the week!
