Today I will be reviewing one of my recent favourites, No. 7 Essentially Natural Foundation.
I use this in Cool Vanilla and I have to say, I LOVE IT. As a pale girl, I really struggle to find a foundation that doesn’t make me look like I’ve been attacked by orange, but this foundation blends into my neckline easily, and is really straightforward to apply.
As a lightweight foundation, I love that I don’t get that horrible cakey feel with this product. Of course, this means that you can only expect light to moderate coverage, but especially for everyday that’s one of the things I like about it.
I really like how this foundation looks on my skin. It gives a practically flawless complexion, and looks great when I apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I also feel I don’t need to use an awful lot of this product at once. I blends into my skin nicely and wears well, as even after about 12 hours wear it still looks pretty decent.
It comes in a squeezy tube, which I have to say I prefer to pumps, because I feel you can get every last drop of product out. My first tube lasted me absolutely ages, which pleased me a lot considering it costs about £9, as I really think I got my money’s worth.
I’d say the only downside of this foundation as far as I can tell is it’s availability. Because No. 7 is a makeup brand created by UK pharmacy Boots, it’s not available easily on an international scale. I’ve bought No. 7 products in airports before, but hopefully Boots will expand further to allow more of you access to their amazing products. Boots also offer a No. 7 foundation matching service in-store – a free service that allows you to find the perfect foundation shade for you!
Overall, I give No. 7 Essentially Natural Foundation 4.5/5
Thats all for today. Have a great rest of your week!
