Review: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

Hi lovelies

So I’m off to the UK in a few days but I thought I would to a quick review for you all before my week of travel-related chaos.

Today I will be reviewing one of my favourite beauty tools, the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.

I feel like I can’t take my usual pro-con approach as I love this product so much, so I’ll just do a brief review of all the things I love about this eyelash curler. I have the curler in gold, but it is also available in silver.

Firstly, if you are gentle and careful with your technique, this eyelash curler with not pinch your eyelids as others do, nor should it pull out your eyelashes like cheaper brands will.

Secondly, when you apply the technique suggested on the packaging, this curler will give you a beautiful and lasting curl, getting most if not all of your eyelashes depending on your eye shape.

I also liked how I was given a spare pad for the curler with my original purchase. This is great to have when the starter pad splits, breaks or becomes over used.
Sure, this eyelash curler is substantially more expensive than other brands, but it provides results that others just can’t seem to match. It is for this reason that you must BE AWARE OF COPIES AND FAKES. Particularly when buying online, there seems to be a lot of counterfeit products out there piggy-backing on this curler’s popularity. An easy rule to remember: FRENCH = FABULOUS. If the packaging has French translations under things like “eyelash curler” and on directions, chances are it’s real. There are other factors on counterfeit products that differ from the real deal, but that is the easiest to pick out.

That’s all for now guys, I will try to do another post before I go away but if I don’t get the chance I will speak to you from England!

Beth xx
