Review: Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

Hi lovelies!

Today I’m going to be reviewing the Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner by Maybelline New York.

I purchased this eyeliner to use for a 21st I went to back in May. I don’t usually wear eyeliner everyday, and tend to only reach for it on nights out. Overall, I’ve found this eyeliner to be pretty decent, but here’s what I think of it in more detail.

Pen-like applicator
One thing that attracted me to this particular liner was the fact that it had a pen-like tip instead of a wand or brush to apply the liner. This means that, especially for those new to liquid liner, this product isn’t intimidating a is particularly good to learn on.

Strong black colour
I’ve found this product to be well pigmented and produces a strong black colour that will define your eyes and eye makeup well.

Can flake, crease and smudge
When applying this product, you need to be a bit careful and not try to do it in a rush, otherwise you may end up with the undesirable panda look. I suggest priming your eyes before application with either a specific eye primer or even just some of your foundation, as this will prevent creasing. After application, give the liner a few seconds to dry before blinking or attempting to touch it, or else it could end up all over the place!

Tricky to do winged eyeliner
A look I like to do with liquid liner is the winged or cat eye look. However, with this liner it can be quite tricky to achieve this, as occasionally the applicator will leak too much colour onto your eye and leave you with a thicker than desired wing.

Overall, I would say that this liner is decent and easy enough to learn on if you are new to liquid eyeliner, but it’s not an outstanding product.

That’s all for now guys, speak to you soon!

Beth xx
